[quote]Luke 12:49-56

49“I came to bring fire to the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! 50I have a baptism with which to be baptized, and what stress I am under until it is completed! 51Do you think that I have come to bring peace to the earth? No, I tell you, but rather division! 52From now on five in one household will be divided, three against two and two against three; 53they will be divided: father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.â€
But I resist the devil, and it is often with a fart that I chase him away. When he tempts me with silly sins, I say, "Devil, yesterday I broke wind also. Do you have that on your list?" -- Luther, Table Talk

Well, I don't focus on CWA since its not my church, and I need to condemn the sins of my memebers and myself. :D

I'm not sure where I'm going with this yet, but if one preaches the law in the text properly, the congregation should feel uncomfortable. And then, one needs even stronger Gospel - and its there (the baptism Jesus will be baptized with.)

I think you're on point. I'm not going to bring it up either; I was mostly joking around. I think I might work with the fire metaphor a little bit...
