Our church has symbolic footwashing, communion & stripping of the altar during a reading of Psalm 22, as well as a brief homily and a few hymns.

Absolution, the Sacrament of the Altar, and this sermon:

(Take it FWIW. I may revise and edit some, but this is currently how it stands. BTW, my mid-week Lenten series has been on the Beatitudes.)

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.â€
" . . . eddies in the space-time continuum."

"Ah . . . is he . . . is he."

We don't have a "Passover meal" but do something similiar, totally different. We do gather around tables and eat a simple meal, with hymns, scripture readings, a very short homily with footwashing and Holy Communion. Then we move into the sanctuary for the stripping of the altar and reading the psalm. This service is growing in attendance and meaning for the congregation.
"...nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."

This year--service of corporate confession with individual absolution at altar, Holy Communion, stripping of the altar at the evening service with the choir/soloist chanting Psalm 22. At the earlier service, no stripping of the altar, and I will probably read or chant Psalm 22 myself.
