Old Lutheran Rumors

Some of the most interesting pieces of Luther's life come to us from a collection of stories that his students collected that they called Table Talk. In the collection, we find Luther talking about his views on theology, marriage, the pope and just about everything else in his life. Please take this chance to express your views about life, but please, try to keep the Luther-like vulgarity to a minimum.

Where does one find the new old Lutheran merchandise? This new website has me all discombobulated. I hate change, cause I am a Lutheran.

www.oldlutheran.com, then click on "gift shop"
The new menu isn't as user friendly to me as the old one, but maybe that's my whole anti-change thing acting up.
Why are you looking down here? This stuff never changes, go look at something new... like the outdoors.

We hate change too, that's why we take credit cards.

There are some new features in our store that hopefully will be helpful. You will be able to see your order history and soon we plan to add order tracking so you will be able to check the status of your order. We are still working out a few bugs. We will also be able to add more views of the products so if you choose to load a picture of yourself or someone else wearing OL gear, we can add that image to the store. We have added size charts and other information about products so that will help our customers know how the shirts fit.

We welcome any feedback to our site so we can make adjustments and continue to improve our site.

Good one, Mr. OL.

Suggestion: Give Gold Cards or something similar to frequent buyers. No discount or anything, just a nice little card to carry around to make the frequent purchaser feel loved and valued. Actually, this was Buster's idea, so if it makes anyone  , it's all his fault.

And oh yeah. We'd really like some stickers. Last call before I order them from CPH.

We have the Card Carrying Old Lutheran Card. Your suggestion is we give that card to customers who spend X amount rather than selling it or come up with a different card altogether?

We have window clings but you want a sticker? What kind of sticker? Let me know what you want and I will order them this week.

I already have the Card Carrying OL card. This was more of a joke than a real suggestion.

See that design in your avatar? That's what I want. I've got half a dozen window clings already, and several leftover tattoos. Stickers are what teachers put on exemplary papers*. I don't know what else to call them. A reasonable quantity would be about 60 per order. An inch diameter is a practical size for a sticker.

*Some teachers have kids wear stickers on their foreheads all day for extra credit, but that's just silly and who would ever do that??

Horder now!! Horder before midnight tonight! :P

I have a very wide selection of OL merchandise and will be happy to give anyone more info. I can tell you this: if you order from OL, they package your stuff with great love and care. I had something sent to Buster and he said the same thing. It's not just pride in a job well done---it's love. LOVE!

LutherMan, I'm sure you'll be very happy with whatever you choose to order. I think you'd be very VERY happy with a set of four Sin Boldly beverage glasses, but don't let me force you into any decision you're not ready to make.

Mmmm. Beverage.

I wrote horder because you wrote horder. Don't edit now. Everyone will know.

The glasses are BEAUTIFUL. For 20 years, I drank my beverages (water, diet cola, or Crystal Light & cranberry juice) from giant plastic tumblers like a child or somebody on suicide watch. But no more. With the Sin Boldly glass, I finally feel like a beverage-swilling adult.

The tall mug is OK. It's really not one of my favorite items, though I do own one. I like the Lutheran Chick mugs much better. I have two of them.

How about the bobble-heads? Anyone have any? Did they ever do the Walther one, and is it toothless?

I like the travel mugs. I still wish I could get the "what does this mean?" shirt in a color other than green. And not yellow, which is an equally yucky color on me (the only reason I don't have a G for German shirt). Black or khaki would be good colors.
Why is it that the youth/children section of wearables only has two onesies? My daughter goes to a Lutheran school & I'd love to get her something fun to wear, but she's too big for a onesie. Actually, even though my son technically fits into the onesies he hasn't worn them for almost a year.

I have a Luther bobble head on the piano in my classroom, and I bought the bobblehead Katie to go along with the Marty who was already in the church office. I also have a couple sets of Katie and Marty windups which I will probably end up giving to my kids as Reformation gifts this year. (Did I say I had only 4 students??)
