Old Lutheran Rumors

Some of the most interesting pieces of Luther's life come to us from a collection of stories that his students collected that they called Table Talk. In the collection, we find Luther talking about his views on theology, marriage, the pope and just about everything else in his life. Please take this chance to express your views about life, but please, try to keep the Luther-like vulgarity to a minimum.

I would really enjoy having checks with a Luther Rose on them.
Or, one could have a set with: Luther Rose, Martin Luther, Katie Luther (each on seperate checks of course)
If there were need for other designs -- could add a stein of beer, a rendition of Ole & Lena, and a really tiny version of the 95 theses.

I like those ideas, save for maybe the 95 theses one. Mainly just because the text would have to be so small that I think it would really bad.

Although I was thinking we could maybe put a portion of the small catechism in the background. My thoughts where Luther's explaination of the third article of the apostle's creed. But I'm sure there would be other portions that are good too.

I like the last one best. I don't care for the first one at all and the second one looks too Go-Gos 80s- IOW, too girly.
But I like the third one.

I actually don't care for any of them. Sorry. The first one looks too messy, somehow, although I like the Luther rose part. The 2nd one gives me a headache. And the 3rd one looks like psuedo prison garb...But I can see a guy wearing it.

I feel strongly that the two previous posters should be banned from the forum for lack of team spirit.

It's funny that two of the "old" Lutherans don't like the designs for Old Lutheran. Maybe if we did some nice flowers, maybe make it larger so older eyes could see it.

The reaction on this board is kinda funny. Old Lutheran. We've never done it that way before. I suppose I should have said, I am trying some new ideas hoping to appeal to a younger audience. I am bringing T-shirts to a Youth Gathering in California and am testing some ideas for High School and College crowd. Thanks for the insights.

I saw the poll here and on facebook. Is it possible to do 1 and 3?

I did like the first one. The second looked like a few things that I saw last summer, with a style that I think will be back next summer.
I'm guessing that when thess said "the second one looks too Go-Gos 80s" that wasn't meant to be a compliment, but I reckon a few people would have a similar sentiment, but it would be in a positive way.

Funny how two different people can have exactly the same opinion of something but one intends it to be negative but the other intends it to be positive.
I wanted to see what my signature was and discovered that I didn't have one.

well, why didn't you say it was for kids? I have no idea what they like, but I could see teens of either gender wearing the 2nd, and think the boys might like the 3rd.
