As you know, election day
is just 2 days after Reformation day. At Old Lutheran,
we have put together a list of ways that you can vote
Martin Luther and celebrate Reformation day at the same
time.
6. No new taxes! Keep your money safe in our
handcrafted sterling silver
money clip. We like to call
this one Martins Wallet because you can safely carry
your folded money with you and then vote for your
favorite President and place him in the offering plate
on Sunday. Our favorite is Benjamin Franklin. While
you’re at it, check out our full selection of
sterling silver jewelry, the perfect gift for the Confirmation
students in your life.
7. Reform your breath and refresh your memory. Enjoy a
package of our
Confirmints. These tasty breath mints
will reform even a staunch Catholic’s breath. As an
added bonus, each tin has part of Luther's Small
catechism neatly tucked inside. These favorites are also
available in
6-packs so bring them to Confirmation class
and share them with everyone.
8. The key to winning starts with the key chain. Pick up
a
Lutheran rose keychain and volunteer to drive someone
to church. These key chains make excellent prizes for
the veteran Lutherans whose service to the church has
gone unrecognized long enough. While the heart isn’t
purple, each key chain comes standard with a heart, a
cross and a rose. Check out our whole selection of
Lutheran Rose Jewelry.
9. Take a stand! So many power meetings take place on
the golf course. Our line of
Here I Stand golf tees
products are sure to help in the polls. Keep your eye on
the ball and proclaim to your whole foursome, “Here I
Stand.” Each Here I stand
golf ball has the Lutheran
rose on one side and Here I Stand on the other. Even if
your game doesn't improve your friends will know where
you stand.
10. A Chicken in every pot. Raise the standards and
grill some papal bull this election season. Sprinkle
some
Papal Bull Rub or
Kity My Rib Rub on your chicken
or beef and grill the candidates in your own back yard
debate. Or, pick up some pork ribs and hold your own bay
of pigs. Get sauced with some Martin’s own
Sin Boldly
Hot Barbeque Sauce. If your not ready to be on the hot
seat, try our
Sin Boldly (but not too bold) mild
variety.
Don't forget to
wear red. The closer it gets to Reformation
day, you will want to be sure you have enough red
clothes in your closet. Old Lutheran has 3 shirts just
for that occasion. Pick from our
95 varieties shirt
complete with a listing of Lutheran churches all over
the world, the
Old Lutheran Pizza Company
shirt comes in its very own pizza box, complete with
cheesy graces. And our
Reformation 2004
shirt is available in Reformation Red.
We know it’s a long shot, but if everyone that
receives this newsletter forwards it on to 3 Lutherans
and if those Lutherans forward this on to 3 Lutherans.
And so on and so forth, who knows what can happen on
