Pastor/Teacher
We agree to:
1. Provide a Confirmation ministry based on the Bible, Luther's Small Catechism, and
[other resources you may wish to use];
2. Use a variety of teaching resources, including large and small group discussions,
videos, drama, art, and worship;
3. Be supportive of you as a person, your growth in faith, and your building of strong,
healthy relationships with your fellow students;
4. Provide private tutoring when necessary or requested;
5. Offer regular "progress reports";
6. Facilitate periodic classes for students and parents together;
7. Facilitate a year-end interview with student and parent(s); and
8. Remember you and all the confirmands in prayer.

I agree to participate in [your church's] Confirmation ministry, which means:
1. Worshipping regularly;
2. Participation in classes, attending retreats, remembering to bring my Bible and
Catechism to each session;
3. Attending Sunday morning classes;
4. Attending mid-week Lenten worship services, Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday,
Easter Vigil, and Easter services;
5. Being on time, polite and attentive to teachers;
6. Memorizing assigned portions of the Small Catechism;
7. Taking three exams;
8. Supporting my fellow teachers and students;
9. Engaging my parent(s) in reflective conversation about the Confirmation program;
10. Taking sermon notes at least 12 times;
11. Serving as an usher one time with my family;
12. Participating with my family in two service project hours;
13. Doing eight individual service project hours;
14. Participation in Bible Camp;
15. Turning Sermon Note,
Service Project and class assignments cards in to appropriate persons;
16. Remembering my fellow students and teachers in prayer.

2. Encouraging my daughter/son to participate in the program, upholding her/his learning
contract;
3. Assisting when called upon for driving or participating in the classroom;
4. Engaging my daughter or son in reflective conversation about the Confirmation program;
5. Participating in the orientations and the Parent's Classes (when students have exams);
6. Participating with my daughter or son in two service project hours;
7. Praying for my daughter or son and participants in the Confirmation program.
